Why should I choose additional warranty for my used car?
Additional warranty is an investment into the future of your car’s care. While every Tangelo car comes with free three-month warranty, you can extend the warranty to ensure you are protected from unexpected costs.
What is warranty?
Warranty is a guarantee that is given to a customer after purchasing a vehicle that promises to repair or replace it if necessary within a specified period of time.
Warranty level options
Platinum
RAC Platinum Maintenance and Warranty covers mechanical and electrical parts that have experienced a sudden and unforeseen failure. This level of warranty is available for vehicles up to 10 years old with less than 100,000 miles on the clock when purchased.
Platinum Plus
RAC Platinum Plus Maintenance and Repair Warranty is the highest level of cover that RAC offer. It covers all mechanical and electrical parts that have experienced a sudden and unforeseen failure, as well as failure due to carbon build up. A limit of £50 (including VAT) or one hour’s labour (whichever is lower) in the event of a valid repair request is included, as is wear and tear coverage for components that have reached the end of their normal working lives provided the vehicle is less than eight years old and/or has less than 80,000 miles on the clock at the point of the claim.
Platinum Plus level is available for vehicles up to six years old with less than 60,000 miles on the clock when purchased.
Additional benefits
Every RAC Maintenance and Repair Warranty comes with Car Hire if your vehicle requires eight hours or longer to carry out repair work. We will cover a maximum of £50 per day for up to seven days upon receipt of a valid rental agreement. Continental use is also included for up to 60 days per 12-month period within the European Economic Area.
