MINI Hatch

The MINI Hatch is the original hatchback version of the BMW-built MINI. The MINI was originally only available as a three-door hatchback and convertible, with subsequent body shapes such as the MINI Clubman (estate) and the MINI Countryman being added later on. In 2014, a longer five-door MINI Hatch was also introduced.

The MINI is steeped in British identity and history, which only adds to its flair and substance. It’s fun to drive, unique in its design, and a fantastic family option given its large boot space and practicality.

Audi A3

The A3 is Audi’s best-selling model, and it’s not hard to see why. Family hatchbacks aren’t often hailed as desirable, but with its high-quality interior, notoriously comfortable driving experience, and reliability, it’s exactly that.

Its sporty and unmistakable exterior and comfortable interior combined with a good range of engine sizes, the Audi A3 is a must-have hatchback.

No list of desirable hatchbacks would be complete without the BMW 1 Series. The BMW 1 Series looks great and drives like a 3 Series, despite being significantly cheaper. Efficient and powerful engines, intelligent infotainment systems, and fun to drive, the 1 Series is notorious for its performance and driving experience.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Advanced safety features and a dynamic exterior make the Mercedes-Benz A-Class a desirable hatchback. Despite being known as Mercedes-Benz’s ‘entry level’ model, it’s by no means a basic vehicle.
