BMW X3 Review
The BMW X3 has secured its reputation as a reliable mid-size family SUV at the core of BMW’s SUV line-up. The compact luxury vehicle has gained popularity for its combination of performance, comfort, and practicality.
Performance
The BMW X3 is known for offering a range of powerful engines, providing a sporty and dynamic driving experience. The available xDrive all-wheel-drive system, which comes as standard, enhances traction and stability, making it a safe and comfortable vehicle, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
While keeping engaging driving dynamics in mind, the X3 has been designed to offer a balance between comfort and sport. Precise steering and agile handling are just two of the features that make the BMW X3 so enjoyable to drive, while maintaining its convenience and safety.
Interior
BMW are infamous for emphasising quality materials in their well-crafted interiors, and the X3 is no exception. Featuring a premium cabin with a spacious interior, the X3 also boasts supportive seats and plenty of legroom for both front and rear passengers. It’s roomy and modest with a decent-sized boot, providing the perfect setting for those long drives and family road trips.
Exterior
The 2021 facelift saw the exterior of the X3 become more refined. The kidney grille has been reshaped and increased in size, while the LED headlights have been slimmed down. The rear end saw a change to its lights, emphasising the sharper and sportier look.
Thanks to the wide bumper with powerful air inlets, the front of the X3 demands a commanding presence. From the side, it’s unmistakably an X3, and the dynamics of the body are obvious.
Technology
The X3 comes equipped with a user-friendly infotainment system, including a responsive touchscreen and a variety of connectivity options. The 12-inch touchscreen can be controlled using the iDrive rotary controller, combining the modern technology with the traditional and typically-more-favoured analogue to create a convenient and safe infotainment space.
A DAB radio, Bluetooth, built-in sat-nav, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 12-speaker sound system come as standard.
Advanced driver-assistance features and safety technologies come as standard. To make manoeuvring more convenient, BMW has including front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and a parking assistance system. There’s also the optional addition of a 360-degree camera.
