Devon and Cornwall offer plenty of family fun and seasonal activities for little ones to enjoy during the Easter holidays, and we’re on hand to highlight the very best of all that’s out there! Take a look at our guide to the best Easter events happening in Devon and Cornwall:
Crealy Theme Park
Based on Sidmouth Road in Exeter, Crealy Theme Park and Resort is an award-winning family theme park that offers over 60 rides and attractions, as well as live entertainment, plenty of animals, and various cafes and restaurants. Suitable for all the family from toddlers to grandparents.
Running from 14th until 21st April, they have lots of Easter activities going on to celebrate including the annual Easter egg hunt to find a chocolate egg which is included in the price of your ticket. You’ll need to solve riddles and a load of clues on an egg-citing adventure across Crealy.
Newquay Zoo: Egg Trail
Set on the North Coast of Cornwall, Newquay Zoo is no doubt one of the most popular tourist attractions in the South West. With over 13 acres of natural-themed exhibits full of animals from around the world to discover, the whole family can easily spend the full day ambling around this popular zoo.
As well as boasting over 120 different species to encounter through the Easter holidays, Newquay Zoo are also holding an Easter egg trail. You’ll get a map, learn about their amazing animals, collect clues and find the eggs.
Zoo Rangers will also be hosting some daily animal talks, animal feeds and egg-themed activities. These are all included in the cost of zoo entry and the event is being held between 5th April - 26th April 2025.
Woodlands Theme Park: Easter Bunny’s Grotto
Found in the heart of the South Hams in Devon, Woodlands is the biggest theme park in Devon and offers more than a day’s worth of fun and adventure for all the family! As well as boasting the biggest indoor play area in the South West, Woodlands also offers memorable water rapid rides and other theme park rides, a zoo full of friendly animals, a falconry centre, a toddlers village and so much more.
To celebrate Easter, Woodlands are hosting their very own Easter Bunny Grotto exclusively open over the Easter weekend (11th - 20th April 2025). Offering little ones the chance to venture through a rabbit warren made up of Easter themed rooms, visitors can even enjoy a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny and collect their special gift, plus take a photo together!
Catch an Easter Show at the Minack Theatre
Experience the magic of al fresco theatre at the Minack Theatre this Easter. Set in a stunning cliff’s edge amphitheatre, you can enjoy a variety of performances. From the enchanting family-friendly tale of The Mermaid of Zennor with various showings at 4pm to the spine-chilling gothic horror of Dracula, the Vampyr at 7:30pm on several dates. Tap your toes to the lively tunes of 3 Daft Monkeys on Friday 11th April. Spring in Wild West Penwith is a must-see, whether you're exploring Land’s End or admiring the breath-taking cliff-top gardens at this spectacular venue.
