Today marks an exciting day for the team who are celebrating one whole year since Tangelo launched on January 17th 2022… And we can’t believe 365 days have passed already!
In that time, we’ve sold 36 different car manufacturers to new and happy owners, 214 varying car models, 13 different registration years, 17 car body types, and 14 different colours!
To celebrate the big day, we thought we’d look back at our biggest achievements in our first year as a business. From launch day to office expansions, team hires and plenty more, it’s certainly been a busy year for the Tangelo Team…
Tangelo Rebranding
2022 truly marked the start of Tangelo’s journey, with the business undergoing a full rebrand on January 17th. Formerly known as the Part Exchange Centre as part of City West Country Ltd, the business rebranded as an online used car dealership under the name Tangelo, and is still proud to be part of the City West Country group.
Tangelo’s mission was and still is simple; to offer an easy and reliable way to buy used cars that come with a quality and safety guarantee. And almost 12 months down the line, the Tangelo Team are immensely proud to have achieved that, with over 170 five-star Trustpilot Reviews received already… Well done team!
Website Launch
June of 2022 marked a very important milestone for Tangelo; the official launch of our new website! Matching Tangelo’s eye-catching branding, the goal for our website reflected our overall mission, to offer a simple-to-use tool for finding your next car, and we’re proud to have achieved that.
The Tangelo website allows users to browse, save, and compare used cars from our wide range of stock, and offers a free car valuation tool if you’re looking to part exchange your current car. As well as this, the website offers fast online approval and information on financing your car, with a range of lenders available, and representative examples of payment.
And when it comes to customer support, our new Live Chat feature ensures that you can contact a Tangelo Support Agent quickly and easily, with a member of the team always on hand to answer your questions and support you further.
Office Expansion
As well as the Tangelo rebranding, the team were also very excited to expand their offices; with more units, leisure areas and facilities being added to our main site on Sidmouth Road in Exeter. And as well as the expansion of the Tangelo yard to accommodate our increased supply of used cars, the team were even more excited for the grand opening of our Exeter Customer Hub.
Set just further up the Sidmouth Road, our Exeter Customer Hub is for you, our customers! Here you can meet members of the Tangelo Team to view the used car you’re planning on buying, take it for a test drive, ask any questions, enjoy a personalised tour of the car and its features, and most importantly, collect your car after purchase!
Team Growth
To match the expansion of Tangelo’s offices and Customer Hub, plus the website launch, was the substantial growth of the Tangelo Team, which hasn’t stopped expanding since we launched the brand back in January!

Best Companies Accreditation
The Tangelo Team were very proud indeed to round off 2022 by being awarded all Three Stars in the annual Best Companies Employee Survey. Not only is a Three Star Award the highest level awarded, but it’s recognition of high levels of business management, leadership, growth, employee wellbeing and more important factors in the workplace.
The purpose of the survey is to recognise excellence within a business and drive for meaningful change, so we were so pleased to see the team get involved and give such fantastic feedback! To celebrate the occasion, the whole team were treated to Crepes in the office thanks to the local Karina’s Crepes… Any excuse for a free dessert at work!
Charity Activity
The Tangelo Team take pride in raising funds in and around the office, as well as attending various charity events through the year! In June we were excited to attend Tiverton Golf Club’s Captain’s Day which raised money for Hospiscare, it was also a great chance to improve the team’s swing, and showcase some cars!
Later in the year we were proud to take part in Movember which supports men suffering with poor mental health, and raises funds for suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer research. In fact, you can still donate to Tangelo’s Movember fundraiser by clicking right here. And at the start of December, we embraced the World Cup by taking part in Exeter Leukaemia Fund’s World Cup Corporate Sweepstake, the Tangelo Team pulled Serbia which wasn’t the best… But what a great cause it was, and the fund kindly gifted the team a signed photo from 1966 World Cup Winner Sir Geoff Hurst!
