Meet the Team: Lauren Blackler-Hinks, Marketing Content Team Lead

This month we are getting to know another member of the Tangelo team, Marketing Content Team Lead Lauren Blackler-Hinks. Lauren speaks to us about her fondest memories whilst at Tangelo and what she enjoys when she's away from the office.

So Lauren, tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you worked in the motor industry? What did you do before?

I’m fairly new to the automotive industry, having only worked in it for the past two years. Before this I’ve worked in a couple of other sectors including IT and the legal which have always been very business focussed. I’m enjoying the change of working directly with consumers.

What is the most memorable day at work you've ever had?

I’ve had a few memorable days since joining the Tangelo team. Rebranding the business at the beginning of 2022 to Tangelo and then the launch day for our new website was also a highlight. Lots of hard work went in to both projects so those two launch days were really exciting.

What is your favourite part of the job?

I love the creativity you get with marketing. Coming up with a plan or idea and seeing it come to life. I’m also quite results driven so digging into the analytics and learning from what we have done in the past is really rewarding.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I enjoy getting out and about with the dogs at the weekend. I also really enjoy live music so going to festivals and gigs.

What was your first car?

My first car was an old Ford Ka. It was bright green and my family used to affectionately call it ‘The Pea’.

What is ultimate driving song?

It really depends on my mood and who is in the car with me! But I love singing along to That Don’t Impress Me Much by Shania Twain at the moment.

What is your dream car? Is there anything at the top of your wish list?

I went out in an Audi TT recently and just loved it!

What are you most looking forward to this year?

I’ve had a really busy year making up for not being able to do much for the past couple of years so I am looking forward to celebrating Christmas with my whole family again for the first time in a while.
