Tangelo Partners with Devon Air Ambulance
It’s been an exciting week for the team here at Tangelo, as we’re very pleased to announce that we are now an official Business Supporter of local charity Devon Air Ambulance Trust! As a team we’re always looking for opportunities to get involved with and support our local community, and this is a fantastic step in that direction.
As a Business Supporter, we look forward to all the fundraising activities to raise awareness for Devon Air Ambulance, and can’t wait to attend the many annual events the charity has already invited us to.
“The Tangelo team and I are very excited to be supporting The Devon Air Ambulance Trust, the charity has a reputation for their fantastic work in the area, and we look forward to supporting them in as many ways as we can. A big thanks to Tracy Owen for helping us get on board.” - Mike Bourne, Tangelo General Sales Manager
Established in 1992, Devon Air Ambulance’s fleet of Helicopter Ambulances and Critical Care Cars has responded to an incredible 34,322 emergencies already, and that number grows every single day. The charity’s team of highly trained paramedics and doctors respond in seconds to reach the most remote and challenging corners of Devon and neighbouring areas, providing vital medical support and transportation to whoever is in need.
These missions include road-traffic accidents, medical emergencies, incidents in difficult-to-reach areas, and plenty more complex emergencies. It’s this commitment to saving lives in the South West that makes Devon Air Ambulance so special, and the reason that the Tangelo Team wanted to partner with the charity.
Devon Air relies on the support of the local community through fundraising events, donations, and volunteer efforts to maintain operational costs. These costs include everything from helicopter and vehicle maintenance to medical supplies and medical team training, and as a business we’re committed to raising the funds and awareness needed to keep this excellent cause going strong.
Head to the Devon Air Ambulance website to find out more about the charity’s history, how you can get involved, and even use their Mission Map to keep up to date on all their latest emergency calls.
We’d also like to give a special shout-out to the Corporate Engagement and Lottery Manager at Devon Air Ambulance, Tracy Owen. Tracy has played a huge part in bringing this partnership together, and we look forward to working with her at the various fundraisers and events planned for this year, and beyond.
