Best-selling makes of 2023

The German automotive brands dominated our list of best-selling car makes in 2023 with used Audi cars taking the number one spot closely followed by used BMW.

Best-selling models of 2023

Despite being the most popular brand, no Audi models made it into the top five models of the year for Tangelo, instead the top spot was taken by the Volkswagen Golf with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class taking second place.

Best-selling body types of 2023

The popularity in SUVs continues to grow and it shows with over 40% of the cars Tangelo customers chose this year sitting in that category.

Best-selling fuel type 2023

The popularity in used hybrid and electric cars has grown in 2023 with the deadline date of 2035 approaching. The popularity shows with 16.7% of the cars purchased at Tangelo this year having a hybrid or electric engine, compared to just 5.4% in 2022.

Successes for Tangelo in 2023

This year Tangelo had some firsts that we would love to celebrate too:

• We received some incredible feedback from our customers this year, maintaining an excellent 4.9 stars on Trustpilot. Congratulations to the team at Tangelo for providing a brilliant customer experience.

• We had our first sponsorship opportunities with local football teams Exeter City Football Club, Buckland Athletic Football Club and Clyst Valley AFC.
• We made Devon Air Ambulance our chosen charity of the year and even had a visit from their mascot Ambrose!

• We attended our first events at Greendale Farm Shop for Cars and Cuppas, an exciting local meet in Exeter for car enthusiasts and a great opportunity for us to showcase some of the models we have in stock.

• Our Exeter Customer Hub has been a part of a revamp at the site on Sidmouth Road – we look forward to reopening in the New Year.
• We launched Tangelo Auto Centre at the beginning of the year providing a location for our customers to manage their after sales needs.
